At St John's we believe in the importance of teaching our pupils how to respect themselves, respect others and respect the environment we live in. We have developed our RESPECT curriculum, which incorporates learning about British values, social, spiritual, social and cultural development and keeping themselves safe, including online safety.  It also encompasses relationships and sex education and teaches pupils about protected characteristics. Developing good emotional well-being is also taught within the RESPECT curriculum. We use a variety of schemes, including no outsiders, NSPCC, such as the Pants project and stay safe, speak out, as well as aspects of the dimensions curriculum.
