Being safe
At St John's we believe in the importance of teaching children how to be safe. Our RESPECT curriculum (see curriculum information on this website) teaches children to:
Be safe online;
Understand how to have good mental health;
Care for themselves physically such as sun safety, drugs and alcohol;
develop healthy relationships;
Be safe when at home or out and about such as road safety, water safety;
Know what to do if they feel unsafe;
We utilise lots of resources from the NSPCC and hold workshops for children led by the NSPCC and action for children. We also hold workshops for parents led by the NSPCC and action for children. Please see below a range of resources that may support your child in keeping safe.
