We have a flexible start in the morning. Children enter the school between 0840 and 0850. Break times vary according to year group, with each year having a fifteen-minute break in the morning. Children's lunch times are sixty minutes. KS1 and Reception finish at 15.20pm and KS2 finishes at 15.25pm. 

Attending School

We want all the children to get the best they can from school.  Being in school every day and on time is a great way to start.  We ask you to help them to do this by making sure they are always punctual on arrival to school and that they attend every day unless they are too unwell. 

School operates a first day contact system and so you need to call or email school on 01785 251960 or office@st-johns-stafford.staffs.sch.uk by 9.30am if your child is absent for any reason. If we are not made aware why your child is not in school, we will contact you and then all the other contacts if we are not able to contact you. 

If we are still unclear why your child is not in school, we will carry out a home visit or ask the police to do a welfare check.
