Welcome to our St John’s C.E. Primary Academy website. We are a two form entry (420 pupil capacity) school with currently 417 pupils on role. St. John’s C.E. Primary Academy is a vibrant and happy school which has recently converted to an academy with the CECET Trust (Church of England Central Education Trust).
We are extremely proud of our school. Our pupils are delightful. They are hard-working, polite and caring towards each other. The teamwork and the respect towards each other, is reflected in the excellent behaviour of our pupils.
A key strength of our school is the positive ethos. Our motto ‘welcoming all, learning together’ along with our core Christian values of friendship, perseverance and thankfulness permeate throughout our school.
Our dedicated staff team all work together to ensure that we care and nurture all of our children as well as providing them with the very best education possible.
‘This outstanding church school puts children at the heart of everything they do.’ SIAMS Report 2016 (outstanding)
If you are considering applying for a place at our school, please contact our school office and they will be able to arrange an appointment for you to come and visit us.
At St Johns Primary Academy we aim to prepare our students to become good citizens of the future. Through our curriculum we teach pupils British values and how to celebrate diversity. We aim to raise their awareness of radicalisation and extremist views, whatever the source. We have adopted the principles and advice found in ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education 2015’ and the 2015 ‘Prevent Strategy’. These are incorporated into our school policy on tackling extremism.
